Alpharetta, GA – Qsource Networks announced today the addition of an online backup service to the existing Qmanage Managed Network Service offering. The new services will allow existing and future customers to backup their data through a secure connection to an offsite data center, saving money typically spent in backup tape drives and tapes while freeing up internal staff to concentrate on their business, rather than worrying about backup schedules and changing tapes.
Qsource Networks Chief Executive Officer Joseph M. Lamb said today, “We are happy to introduce the online backup service to our customers. This is a service that has been a long time coming and due to the cost of tape drives and tapes today, has become a real cost saver to customers. The software we will be using is the most advanced bit transfer technology on the market, allowing us to be ahead of the curve in regards to technology.” According to company officials, the new backup service can backup hundreds of gigs of data over T-1 lines, supports Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and the backup of open files, one thing that many of these services struggle with.
Pricing for the service will start at $25 a month for 5Gigs of data. At this time, a monthly Qmanage Services agreement is required to take advantage of the service. The service will be deployed to customers that choose to take advantage of the offer in early September.
